The open-air center, with its distinctive Lifestyle Main Street concept, goes beyond shopping, dining and entertainment, relying heavily on the architecture and amenities to create a new experience for the consumer. The architectural style for Renaissance at Colony Park has been derived from European and Mediterranean influences, utilizing a mix of classical features, such as arched openings, clay tile roofs, and stone and stucco facades. There is a variety of forms, shapes and color with a strong emphasis on pedestrian scale elements such as landscaping, varied paving patterns, benches, wrought iron railings and trellises, fountains, and decorative lighting.

An elaborate Italian fountain is the focal point of the “front door,” and the central square features a beautiful clock tower. Spacious common areas provide a place for special events, activities and entertainment, an opportunity to dine al fresco, or simply to stroll and relax. The design theme places a high value on architectural beauty with water features that blend landscape architecture with a user-friendly retail environment. All of these elements come together to create a vibrant destination offering the visitor a unique environment second to none in this region in terms of an exciting shopping, dining and entertainment experience.

The center is highly visible from Interstate 55, the Natchez Trace, Old Agency Road and the Highland Colony Parkway. The Natchez Trace and I-55 are essential to the location of the Renaissance. This site is the hub where all major thoroughfares empty. Access to I-220 is less than one mile from the site.

Upon completion of Phase II, now under construction, Renaissance at Colony Park will consist of approximately 500,000 square feet of building space on 57 acres and 50,000 square feet of office space above the retail shops. Phase II will include a boutique movie theater and a show fountain feature synchronized with music.

Renaissance at Colony Park is attracting shoppers from at least a one-hundred mile radius and is a destination unto itself. The center has been named Best Shopping Destination by Mississippi Magazine, Best Shopping Center by the Mississippi Business Journal, and has been chosen Family Favorite Shopping Center / Mall by Parents & Kids Magazine. Renaissance is a past recipient of the Business of the Year award from the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, Renaissance received numerous design and development awards, including the Outstanding Green Development Award from The Mississippi Urban Forest Council and the Mississippi Forestry Commission. The project earned 1st place in the 2008 Decorative & Durable Designs Concrete Pavement Awards, Precast category. Renaissance also won 1st place in the 2009 HNA Hardscape Project Awards, Combined Commercial category and 2nd Place in the 2009 American Society of Concrete Contractors Decorative Concrete Council Awards, Cast-in-Place Special Finishes category. Renaissance was the recipient of the Top Innovative Engineering Design Award, South Central Construction Magazine’s Award of Merit, Private Building, and the Associated Builders & Contractors Excellence in Construction Award.

Renaissance at Colony Park is consistently chosen by numerous organizations and charities as the location for their events, home to award winning events such as the Renaissance Euro Fest Classic European Auto and Motorcycle Show, Santé South Wine Festival, and the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival and has been host for the C Spire Concert Series, featuring artists such as Darius Rucker and Miranda Lambert.
