Texas Best Organics Inc. certified Organic Rice Mill and Dryer facility is located next to US Highway 90 and the railroad at 2243 North St., Nome, TX 77629. Rice dryer bins have a total carrying capacity of 68,000 BBLS, approximately 11,000,000 pounds. The dryer has an 8” grain loop system to load and unload trucks and a Sukup double-stacked dryer unit with a propane tank that is 600 gallons. The dryer is computer-controlled and efficient and can dry moisture at least .03% on 50,000 pounds per hour. The rice mill is adjacent to the dryer and in a concrete building with a 4 10” Sheller head capacity for eight tons of rough rice per hour, with a Patty separator to accommodate the sheller. The mill has two vertical stone mills and one large finishing polishing machine. Rotex machine, large color sorter, 5’ x 9’ storage bins, and one square 100,000 lbs capacity tank for packaging. The mill is primarily complete but does still need some work to be up and running. These facilities are on almost 6 acres of property with plenty of room for additions.
