The Mutual Building, one of Covington’s most prominent historic buildings located at ‘ground zero’ in Covington’s downtown urban center, is ideally located at the intersection of Madison Ave & Pike St. 

Built in 1921, the building originally housed the Covington Industrial Club (a precursor to the Chamber of Commerce), offices for the Mutual Insurance Company and numerous restaurants. 

After a long period of vacancy & declining condition, the City of Covington purchased the 30,000 square foot building in 2012 with the hopes of spurring redevelopment of the site.  In 2014, the building was fully restored with a significant investment to add 11,000 square feet of new retail & commercial space and 15 new market-rate apartments while preserving and enhancing the architectural character for the future.  

The building is ideally located in the heart of Covington across the street from the City Building, Hotel Covington and the new North development, along with close proximity to numerous bars, restaurants, and uniquely Covington retail establishments.
