Lynn Creek Town Centre is a project located in Lower Lynn Valley Town Centre, one of the four key centres that North Vancouver District’s new Official Community Plan is focusing on for growth. Currently, it is a mixed use neighbourhood, comprising of residential, light industry and retail areas. The development will complement the established retail node along Main St that includes Canadian Tire, PetSmart, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Save-On-Foods and Cineplex. Upon completion, this new community will increase the population by over 8,000 people, living in a variety of housing units from mid/low-rise apartments and townhouses. In addition, the community will have a 40,000 sf. community centre that will service the residents and the existing industrial to the west will be maintained to provide employment opportunities in the community. The project will be on the northeast corner of Mountain Hwy and Crown St. The site will have a residential tower with 197 units above retail and in the adjacent tower. Construction of Lynn Creek Town Centre is scheduled to commence in 2018 with turnover in mid-2020 for the retail component.
